During the last week of half term, a group of boys from Year 9 went on a trip to the Plas Y Brenin Outdoor Centre, situated in the breathtaking Snowdonia National Park. Over the week, we participated in several activities including coasteering, canoeing, paddle boarding and zip lining. The most memorable moment was our ascent of ‘Moel Siabod’, where we scrambled across rocky ridges and enjoyed some incredible views along the way.

My favourite activity by far was rock climbing. I was a bit sceptical at first, but it really took me by surprise with how engaging and, in a way, thrilling it was. Also, the accomplishment upon reaching the top made it worth the gruelling journey up.

The instructors were amazing and the trip overall, I would say, was the best I’ve been on with school, with the scenery being straight out of a fantasy film. I would definitely recommend this to future students as it was an incredible experience, which I would happily sign up for again.
