The 2016 public examination results at Dr Challoner’s were excellent once again last year. At A Level 60% of entries were graded A* or A, with 25% being A*s. 82% of grades were at least grade B. The overall pass rate was 100% and the average point score per student was 1021.7. A record 81 students achieved a clean sweep of A* and A grades, while 14 were rewarded with all A* grades.

At GCSE, 100% of the boys in Year 11 obtained at least five A*-C grades including English and Maths, with 83.3% achieving five or more A* or A grades. Overall 74% of the grades were A* or A. 52 boys achieved a clean sweep of A* and A grades, while five students were rewarded with 10 A*s. In the new performance measures our attainment-8 score was 72.8 and our progress-8 score was +0.68, putting us in the top 5% of schools nationally.
