The Friends of DCGS (Registered Charity No: 310621) have provided invaluable support for the school for over 30 years. At the start of each academic year, parents of new boys are warmly invited to join the Friends and take part in (and preferably help organise!) their ambitious programme of events. This runs throughout the year and enables parents to socialise with each other and play an active role in the life of the school.
Recent fundraising by the Friends has generated the finance necessary to equip the Drama and Music Studio with state-of-the-art technical lighting and sound equipment and to refurbish one of the Science laboratories.
We are always keen to welcome new members to the Friends. If you are interested, do get in touch with Sarah Gomez-Cullen, our secretary. Sarah can be emailed on email@example.com or is happy to chat on 07956 601591.
A huge event with stalls, delicious food and all sorts of games and activities for all to enjoy. This is one of the highlights of the year, and money raised at the Fayre allows the Friends to make a significant contribution to the school.
A light-hearted gathering to welcome the new year 7 parents to the school. With dinner and games, parents have an opportunity to mingle with other parents from their son's form, as well as their form tutor.
The Friends help to run the new and improved House Music Competition.
A great fun, informal evening which provides the chance to dance the night away to a live band. Counterfeit ABBA went down a storm in 2015 and this year should be even bigger and better!
This is a great way to support the school and please see the the attached document for the latest monthly winners.
