This evening of music, showcasing students from both DCGS and DCHS, started with the Joint Schools' Orchestra who played Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20 in D Minor. Michael Gourin took up the very challenging role of playing the piano part and made the piece all the more impressive. The DCGS String Ensemble followed, also with Mozart, playing Divertimento in D Major. Both groups played very well and set the bar very high for all the groups to follow.

One of the favourites of the evening was the Challoner's Chamber Choir, a group of 18 singers from both DCGS and DCHS, including staff. A member of the audience described their performance as 'utterly beautiful'. They performed Crucifixus a 8 by Lotti.

Solo on violin - Marshall Scott (Year 9)
Guitar solo - Cameron Robey (Year 9)

Year 8 student Jack Webb then performed Chorus No. 1 by Villa Lobos. He got a well-deserved huge round of applause as he performed to an incredible standard. The evening was topped off with the Joint Schools' Choir. They performed three pieces: If Ye Love Me, The Lamb and finally When David Heard by Eric Whitacre.
