The Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) reward hard working Year 13 students with prizes for being the best students at a school studying A2-Level Chemistry.
This year the subject team nominated Amit Patel for the award who is an enthusiastic young Chemist hoping to study Engineering at University. Amit has shown outstanding qualities and is a student who will do extremely well studying at one of the country’s top universities. The awards were held at the University of Reading and the students were given a short lecture and a tour of the analysis facilities.
Amit was fortunate to be announced as the overall winner of the competition, naming him’ Best Sixth form Chemist in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire’. This reflects the amount of hard work and dedication that he has given to his studies and his enthusiasm for extra-curricular science.
