The DCGS Girls’ Choir meets every Wednesday morning at 8.30 as we find it’s quite a tonic to start the day with music.

This term we have continued to meet regularly online and the odd bowl of muesli or a croissant may have been nibbled alongside. Here is our first recording, kindly compiled by Ollie Ensor.

"Irish Blessing" is a lovely setting of this traditional text set for a three part choir by Philip Stopford.

May the road rise to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face.

The rains fall soft upon the fields.

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

The good news is that we SHALL meet again next Wednesday 10th March and would welcome some more singers (girls ) to join us in M2. There will be pastries to celebrate (if I’m allowed to bring them).
