Gesticulating wildly

English students from Years 10 and 11 went to see the Arthur Miller play All My Sons at the Watford Palace Theatre. The play is considered a modern classic and one of Arthur Miller’s best works. It is also an exam text for iGCSE English Literature, so the evening was as much for our educational benefit as it was a good evening out. There was also the opportunity to spend some time in Watford before the performance.

This was the first time that the Year 10s had seen the play and it acted as an introduction as they began to study it. For the Year 11s this was revision; a topic of much conversation was how it compared with other versions, usually in terms of actors, scenery, and so on. The trip was a success, with a great performance and the entire evening running smoothly, thanks to Mr Millar and Mrs Rodgers.
