Friday 15th February saw a flurry of excitement and activity within the school as everyone prepared for the first Enrichment day of the year. These days are an important part of the school curriculum and give students an opportunity to learn and develop their learning habits in a different environment. A vital part of our commitment to Learning @ Challoners.

All students were allocated individual projects within their year groups. Year 7’s looked at past, present and future Challoners, Year 8’s had a Commonwealth Games day where they learnt the history, geography and politics of commonwealth countries and Year 9’s got involved in a well-being project covering social issues such as drug and alcohol awareness. The Army came to put the Year 10 students through teambuilding exercises and Year 11’s travelled to Adams Park to help Wycombe Wanderer’s Sports and Education Trust with innovative and enterprising ideas to support their charity and community projects.

It was a day in London for Year 12’s who tested their knowledge of London landmarks during a treasure hunt and the Year 13’s learned necessary skills such as basic cooking, DIY and budgeting to aid them in their next phase of learning at university. As usual, all students embrace these Enrichment days and they are already looking forward to the next one.
