New Court was the place to be at break-time on Friday, with 9 Newman under the excellent leadership of Mr Sharpe hosting a cake sale to raise money for charity. The team with the help of Mr Sharpe, Mr Duggan and Miss Swain baked a massive selection of cakes. The appetising selection of cakes looked brilliant and within 15 minutes they had all sold out to the large crowd that had gathered. They managed to raise a whopping £329, with all of the money going to the UK-based charity Mencap.
The Royal Mencap Society is a charity that does great work to help people with learning disabilities to live their lives as they choose. You can find out more about the charity here .
Mr Sharpe is raising even more money for this charity by running the London Marathon on Sunday. If you want to donate, then visit his Justgiving page. He has already raised more than his target - over £500 so far!
Well done 9 Newman for organising such a successful cake sale and good luck to Mr Sharpe who will run on Sunday!
