Enjoying the run - Daniel New, Year 13

Starting off the new year with a bang, this year’s House Cross Country event was another resounding success.

With 'fantastic numbers' of boys taking part, the run was as packed as ever. Perhaps most notably, the Years 7 and 8 races included 180 and 170 boys respectively, almost the whole of each year taking part. Overall 632 students (from Years 7 to 10) participated.

Thorne won the Years 10 and 11 race, Newman the Year 9 race, and Pearson took the trophy in both the Year 7 and Year 8 races. However, Newman's consistently good performance across the week has put them in the lead for this opening round of the House Competition.

Well done to all the boys, and we are looking forward to similar success in the upcoming sporting year.
