On Friday 9th October, Dr Challoner’s Junior, Intermediate and Senior teams went to Watford to compete against other schools in the region in the English Schools Swimming Association tournament. The Intermediate team narrowly missed out on nationals, however the Juniors and Seniors both qualified for the nationals at the London Aquatics Centre in Stratford. Unfortunately the Senior team couldn't take part due to other commitments, but the Juniors arrived ready to compete in both relays (medley and freestyle). The nationals took place on Saturday 21st November. The Junior team swam well in the medley heat but even better in the freestyle, coming 12th in the country and being plaed as reserves for the final. We improved on our qualification time, despite moving up to a 50m pool, which is generally slower. Well done to all the team participants.
