This year March brought with it the House Swimming Gala, which saw students from all years competing in a mixture of races. The event was held at the Chiltern Pools in Amersham, only a short walk away for the excited competitors. Races varied from 25m sprints to the group relays and individual medleys.

Taking a breath - Mr Anning

As to be expected there was a range in ability yet overall the standards were all very high. Some races had a clear winner, whilst others were impossibly close and came right down to the wire. The whole of Year 7 and some of Year 10 attended the event, watching from the spectators gallery and encouraging classmates and rivals with equal enthusiasm.

Across the event students were competing for valuable House Points. In the Junior competition (Years 7 to 9) Holman took first place, followed by Newman and then Thorne. In the Senior competition (Years 10 to 12) Thorne clinched victory, with Newman and Foxell just behind.

Well done to all the competitors, and thanks to Mr Duggan for organising an excellent event.
