After a long build up, a lot of tension and the House Competition in the balance, the mixed Sixth Form teams were covered in sun screen and prepared to play in temperatures ofup to 30 degrees.

The tournament was split into two groups: the first Foxell, Newman and Rayner; and the second Pearson, Holman and Thorne. It was great to see the teams supporting each other throughout the games and the friendly competitive spirit between the houses. Foxell confidently came out on top of the first group despite being three players down and Thorne managed to scrape first place after defeating Pearson by one run! Foxell eventually defeated Thorne and took the House Softball trophy for this year.

Well done to all players involved.
