Some of the students - Yajur Krishnamurthy (Year 8)

On an ordinary school day, to conclude Activities Week the Year 8s travelled to Hillingdon Outdoor Activity Centre for an exciting experience.

Last Wednesday Foxell, Holman and Newman and on Friday Pearson, Rayner and Thorne, met up with three houses from Dr Challoner's High School, at the centre. We were then separated into groups of ten.

Students participating in high ropes - Jai Daurka (Year 8)

After arriving, we took part in one activity, before a well-needed lunch break and then another two. The three activities ranged from high ropes to the giant swing. I did the commando challenge, pedal karts and finally raft building. The commando challenge was a course, which required going through many obstacles as a team. Pedal karting was an enjoyable race and raft building was making a raft out of wooden sticks and ropes before testing it out in the water.

We got back to school with perfect timing after a brief bus journey.

It was certainly a tiresome day, in which we got very muddy! It was a fantastic end to activities week and was definitely worthwhile.
