At Challoners it's not unusual to explore open, challenging questions together. For the third year running the Christian Union hosted their 'Grill a Christian' event in school. The premise was that anyone could ask anything! The Christians in the firing line, Nathan Leech and Dan Chapman, would do their best to answer the series of direct and pointed questions that came their way.
The event was spread across two lunchtimes - the first for Sixth Form students and the second for the lower school. Topics of discussion ranged from morality to truth, and relativism to reconciling people's impressions of God in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.
I personally walked away from these events encouraged by the sincerity and respect of everyone in attendance and by the calibre of questions asked.
