Year 9 drugs play

Year 9 students watched a play in the hall about a 14 year old boy and how his involvement with drugs steadily became worse and worse, eventually leading to his untimely death. It was an eye-opening experience, as many of us were shocked to see how quickly things could deteriorate and how serious drug abuse can be.

After the play we had a question and answer session, with topics varying widely from, 'What makes you a drug dealer' to discussing the impact of drugs on the NHS! The session was brought to life by students coming up to act out the situations. It was a fantastic, fun lesson for us that all of us learnt a lot from.
