25th February 2014
Writing: Jonathan Popely (Year 12)
On Tuesday the 25th of February Year 12 embarked on a trip right to the centre of London. The day consisted of carrying out environmental quality surveys and mapping land use at a number of different stations along the Metropolitan Line. We collected this data so we could then manipulate it back at school and use it to help us in our geographical investigation.
We started the day at around 8:30 and got the 8:48 train. As we travelled into the city centre we were excited and quite looking forward to the task that lay ahead. The first location was Aldgate, at this point it started to tip it down with rain and our morale took a hit. However, as the day progressed both the weather and our morale got better. Finally, we arrived back at Amersham station after sampling eight different stations and concluded that it was a very tiring but fun day out.
