It has been very pleasing today to see our Year 11s again achieving a very high set of results. 92% of all entries were awarded A*, A or B grades, and 40 students from the cohort of 180 achieved A or A* grades in every one of their subjects.
Eight students achieved a clean sweep of A* grades in all their 10 subjects:
Congratulations to these seven, and to all the students for their hard work and dedication in reaching this point.
Dr Fenton says:
'This is a big day for the boys – getting your first tangible reward for the hard work you have put in over at least two years is a great feeling. The results are consistent with those of recent years and are among the best we have had as a school. The boys in this year group have been a pleasure to teach and have thrown themselves into so many different spheres of activity with great success. With champion rowers, rugby players and musicians in their ranks, the GCSE results are the icing on the cake.'
