House Drama, a creative staple of the house competition scene, has made dramatic changes this year. Bumping up the splendour of the performance, Mr Millar decided to invite parents, teachers, and a guest host, to watch all six houses perform late into the evening of Thursday.
The theme of the performances was ‘Openings’: the evening featured the openings of well known scripts, such as ‘Unman, Wittering and Zigo’, ‘Animal Farm’, and ‘Oedipus’ (who really did love his mother). The evening was a splendid display of the budding drama talent in this new generation of actors. The well deserved winners were Pearson, with a spectacular ‘Oedipus’.
Thanks must go to not only the amazing actors who performed, but also to the brilliant staff who helped organise this event.
