27th April 2016
Writing: Manas Kubal (Year 8)
This Wednesday, swimmers from Years 7 to 10 arrived at the Chiltern Pools in Amersham for a chance to win the coveted title of House Swimming champions 2016. There were two different categories: Juniors consisting of Years 7 to 8, and the Seniors with Years 9 and 10.
There were several different races, including the 4x25m medley relay and individual 25m for all the strokes. On arrival the atmosphere was tense, with each house knowing how important this is for points in the House Competition. The highlights of the day were the House Captains race and all of the relays. Everyone watched in great spirits, passionate for the success of their house and cheering loudly.
The Junior category was won by Newman, followed by Pearson and then Rayner. In the Senior category there was strong victory by Holman followed by Thorne and then Pearson. There were some outstanding performances by all the teams.
A massive thank you to the House Captains for cheering us on at the lane ends, and to the PE Team for organising this event.See the current positions in the House Competition
